●寝ずに看病する stay [sit] up with 《a patient》; attend on 《a sick person》 all (through the) night; stay up at night looking after 《a patient》

・つきっきりで看病する nurse 《a sick person》 nonstop; stay with 《a sick person》 all the time; attend 《a sick person》 full-time.

●彼は手厚い看病のかいもなく昨夜亡くなりました. He died last night, all the care taken of him proving of no avail.

●一に看病, 二に薬. The most important thing is (compassionate) care; medicine is secondary.

看病疲れ

●母の看病疲れか体調が悪い. The reason I'm not very well is probably that I'm worn out from looking after my mother so long. | The strain of looking after my mother seems to be telling (on me).
